movement. What matters is not the form itself, but the act of circling: an intentional gesture, a continuous unfolding—where the process becomes the message.

A site for reflection, experimentation, and reunion in Melides, Portugal, where design becomes a living dialogue with territory, temporality, and the possibility of new forms of coexistence.

Circular is conceived not as a fixed concept, but as one in continuous evolution —one that holds architecture, hospitality, urbanism, craftsmanship, and art in close conversation.

Founded by Dellekamp + Maass, an architecture practice based in Melides, Portugal by long-time collaborators Derek Dellekamp and Erick Maass. Rooted in a shared vision of intentional, regenerative design, the studio expands on Dellekamp’s legacy in the Americas while charting new directions in Europe.

Rather than seeking definition, Circular embraces ambiguity as a method. A space to dwell, an invitation to pause, and make space for presence, ideas, and encounters yet to emerge.

The circle has long stirred human consciousness—a shape we recognize instinctively, yet can’t fully explain. It is the quiet architecture behind beauty, connection, and continuity. More than an ancient archetype, it is a living principle—how we return to ourselves, how we find rhythm, balance, and reflection. Circles invite openness, contemplation, and movement. They remind us that well-being is not static, but a rhythm—a relational flow. The circle teaches us to move in relation, not domination. To respond, not resist.

At its core is creativity—not as talent, but as breath. A pulse that shapes the intangible. This project is born of such a return. A friendship that began thirty years ago now comes to fruition—not by chance, but by rhythm.

Here, we follow the circle—not as decoration or trend, but as as the geometry of everything and the shape of wholeness. We trace its presence through disciplines and stories—not for inspiration, but for insight. Not to simplify, but to deepen. Because sometimes, the only way to understand the center is to move around it.

Ressonância – related to emotional, spatial and historical reverberation.

Ressonância brings together artworks that explore presence, memory, and the poetic traces of lived experience in dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Presented across two venues in Melides—a historic cultural site and a contemporary gallery space—the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the relationship between the individual and the world through both tradition and modernity.
